About this listen

Virtually everything in America relies on computers. The electrical grid, the banking network, and the railroads are prime examples. Hackers employed by our enemies are constantly looking for ways to infiltrate and destroy these systems.

In Terror on the Tracks, three terrorists have been sent to Kansas City, the nation’s second largest rail hub, to sabotage the railroad and engulf the city in an environmental disaster. Walt, along with his father, John, and his partner, Kevin, are dragged into the terrorists’ plot and put their lives on the line to snuff out the terrorists’ diabolical plan to destroy the railroad.

I enjoyed this book and think the author is back doing what he does best, giving you an adventure that you will enjoy and sometimes laugh at. This is one of the books in this long running series that I enjoy, just a mystery and not a conspiracy or a book with a deeper meaning. Just lots of small funny case or situations that are all connected. All the gang is there which is what makes these books so great, the fun and varied personalities of the characters. I love it the way the old timers foil the terrorists plans at every turn, sometimes just by being in the right place at the right time. It was also interesting to learn how venerable we are and the lengths or plans that terrorists might go to because they make for an entertaining story. I would like more books like this one and can't wait for the next book.
When three terrorists plan attacks on Kansas City Walt Williams and the old timers are there to protect the train tracks and power grid. Walt and his friends are doing a good deed, bringing a group of homeless people some food and with that act of kindness they make some new friends, get to drive a run away train, get kidnapped, find a bomb and save the city. It's all in a days work for Walt Williams.
George Kutch is still be far the best choice for this series because with all the audio books I have listened to I don't think think anyone else would come close to sounding right for Walt and the gang.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Walt, his dad, and Walt's partner Kevin are back in fine form, with brother Mark also putting in an appearance for Homeland security. Jerry is ready with a quirky comment or dreadful joke and this time it is a series of attacks via the railroad system set to undermine the economy and public confidence which mostly demands their attention.

With narrator George Kuch again becoming Walt Williams, the 70 something P.I. telling the story of what happened - always performed perfectly - this is another successful part comic, part thrilling, part thought provoking tale in the Lady Justice series. Always a pleasure to read.

Great fun, and definitely recommended.

The right place at the right time.
