Summary

Do you want to build a body that surpasses your 20s and lasts for years to come?

Is it even possible to even change your body after 50? After what age can my body not cope with workouts and physical activity? Should I even consider fitness if I have spent most of my life idle?

If you are interested in answering any of these questions, interested in learning about physical fitness at your age, then read on.

Life has a habit of trying it's best to get in between you and the things you want. It can break us down, and when considering the idea of transforming your body for the better, you might have thoughts like this: "I don't have time to go to the gym", "I don't have the time to prepare meals", "I don't have a supportive environment", "I don't know how to do it, and I might look stupid" - and, what I hear the most is, "I'm too old for all this".

Yes, it is true - your younger years are behind you, but you are far from too old to get fit and healthy. In this book, I am taking you on a journey that will educate you about nutrition, exercise, and discipline. I will show you how these things influence your body and update you with the latest information and research in strength training. With the pertinent information at your disposal, you will build routines, diets, and workouts that will focus on achieving immaculate fitness.

  • Become an expert on nutrition and design your delicious meals.
  • Master the most efficient movements and understand exercise techniques, so you never need a trainer again.
  • Learn abundant amounts of knowledge in strength training so you can go straight from clueless beginner to seasoned veteran.

You aren't just buying a book. You're investing in yourself.

Included with this audiobook is a PDF file you can download with illustrations of exercises in the book. You can refer back to the document as much as you please, so check it out.

I'm over 60, so would it still work for me?

Yes, it did. I won't kid you, it was hard work, but it did get me results and even improved my golf game too! I often find that strength training books don't cater to men of my age and just focus on young, fit men. However, this book really took the time to adapt a routine and plan made just for men like me.

Dad loves this book :)

Gave this book as a gift to my dad who hasn't discovered audiobooks yet. He's been trying to get fit and loves this book! It starts with building a strong mindset, which is great, because without the right mindset any change is 10 times as hard. I personally like that the book also highlights the importance of a healthy diet and nutritious food (dad definitely needed a little kick when it comes to this one lol). Overall, he found it super useful and said he listened to it a few times now. Would 100% recommend.

Solid book to get fit

This book boils down just what is necessary to get fit in simple to understand and doable steps. I especially appreciate how the author focused on safety when discussing exercises. With minimal (or zero!) equipment, you can work towards the body and health that you desire.

The Power of the Mind and Body

I got this audiobook for my middle-aged father who doesn't like the gym but wants to get fitter at home. This audiobook was useful as it came with a pdf guide of exactly how to perform certain exercises in pictorial form. The narration was easy to follow and my father has now got some simple home gym equipment to use alongside working on the mental side of strength training.

Great Practical Advice!

Despite the book being for men, I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much from it! I’m in my late 40s and a woman, and I’m really getting into building more muscle in order to stay healthy and strong. Also, I’m really trying to get my husband into the topic - this book is a fab resource. The theory and practical exercise structure presented here by the author is very easy to understand and digest - which was perfect for me.

Would definitely recommend, an easy listen too, overall 5 stars without hesitation ⭐️

Brilliant!

If you're over 50 years of age and want to get fit then I would advise this being your place to start. A brilliant book as well as audiobook (I have both) which take you through exactly what you need to know when starting out on the journey of becoming more physically active.

Just really helpful

As someone who is in this age demographic I was nervous about this book in case it just felt out of my reach. But this is a motivating and practical listen with some tips you can easily get on and do. Although I would consider myself quite fit this book gives the extra nudge you need. But there are tips and strategies that I had not heard of before. A very motivational listen regardless of age. I have taken some great insights which I am going to action. Very good!
