A really interesting subject and one we should all learn!

I became interested in this subject after watching a film where the main character needed to survive in the wild. This book was so interesting and well narrated, making it an engaging listen and I learnt a great deal. I feel I could now, at least, survive for a while in the great outdoors!

Skills we should all (re)learn

A well narrated audiobook that is easy to listen to and engaging. I liked the gently encouraging tone to persuade the listener to get out into nature and source some nutritious free food, which is a win win for our pockets, the planet, our well being and our health.

The only thing I am cautious about is picking something poisonous, but the book goes into detail on the steps you can take to minimise any risks of this. The book is full of useful tips on how to store and preserve your foraged food and has some tasty sounding recipes - I’m definitely going to try the nettle and rice soup!

Overall, a great choice for your first book if you are looking to make foraging a part of your life.

With love, Thashna.
